Fishing in Sitka: Other Saltwater Species

The rich offshore waters near Sitka, Alaska have a fantastic variety of fish.  We often catch ling cod (right) and Pacific yellow eye (red snapper, below).  Ling cod are not the most handsome fish in the sea, but they eat well.  Yellow eye are both colorful and tasty.

It's not just salmon and halibut in Sitka!
